Refund Policy

Overview

This Refund Policy explains when credit package purchases may be refunded. It works with our Terms of Service. By buying credits, you agree to this policy.

BookCoverAI sells digital credit packages for AI cover generation and related export actions. Because generation and export use non-reversible processing costs, used credits are generally not refundable as cash.

How Credits Work

Current pricing and package sizes are shown on the pricing page and may change over time. As of this policy update, typical credit use is:

• Draft generation: 1 credit per successful generation task
• Best Quality generation: 3 credits per successful generation task
• Print-ready export (paperback or hardcover full-cover package): 30 credits per successful export
• eBook front-cover downloads: usually do not require an extra download charge beyond the generation cost

Exact costs shown in the product at the time of the action control. Failed generation or export tasks are not charged.

Credits are tied to your account and are non-transferable unless we say otherwise. Promotional or registration gift credits are not eligible for cash refunds.

Some credit packages may expire. If a package has an expiration period, it is shown at purchase time or in your account.

When You Can Get a Refund

A. Unused purchased credits (14-day window)

You may request a full refund of a credit package purchase if all of the following are true:

1. You request the refund within 14 days of purchase.
2. None of the credits from that purchase have been used.
3. The credits still appear in your account balance (they have not been consumed by generation, export, or other paid actions).

B. Billing errors

If you were charged more than once for the same purchase because of a technical error, or if you paid but did not receive the credits, we will refund or correct the charge after verification.

C. Technical defects (credit restore only)

If a paid action produced a technically defective deliverable (for example a corrupted file, blank image, or severe rendering failure that is our fault), we will restore the related credits to your account after review.

We do not offer cash refunds for creative preference, style dissatisfaction, or platform rejection by Amazon KDP or other third parties once credits were used for a successful generation or export.

D. Partial refunds required by law

If applicable law requires a partial refund in a specific situation, we will calculate it based on unused value from the purchase after deducting used credits at the rates that applied when those credits were spent.

How to Request a Refund

Email [email protected] with:

• Subject: Refund Request - [Order ID or payment reference]
• Your account email
• The reason for the request
• Screenshots or other details if there was a technical problem

We aim to respond within 2–3 business days.

If a Refund Is Approved

• Cash refunds go back to the original payment method.
• Banks may take 5–10 business days to show the credit.
• Related purchased credits will be removed from your account when a cash refund is issued.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact us first so we can help with billing issues. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting support, or using chargebacks in bad faith, may lead to account suspension.

No Subscriptions for Credit Packages

Credit packages are one-time purchases. Buying a credit package does not enroll you in an automatic renewal for that package.
